Nousjka Zijlstra
I identify myself as a multidisciplinary artist. I am not tied down to one medium as I find that different mediums offer me different solutions
For example painting allows me use a certain style to portray the aesthetic fascinations I have with topics like religion and the extraterrestrial.Besides that, I can easily depict the very visual obsessions I have with low budget films, eccentric gypsy lifestyles, Lucid dreaming and everything in between. For me, setting up these worlds through installation or sculpture on the other hand, invites an audience to participate in the feelings we associate with these worlds. Nousjka Zijlstra, fourth year - fine art student Minerva Groningen. |
